Byron is responsible for the operations of OGC Consulting. In addition, he is the vice-chairperson for the audit committee of the Petroleum Accountants Society of Houston, already following in his father Howard’s footsteps of active engagement in PASH and COPAS.

 

Byron graduated from the Raikes School of Computer Science and Management at the University of Nebraska – Lincoln in 2005. From there, he spent 10 years at Microsoft in a variety of roles and business units, leaving Microsoft as a Principal Architect.  Byron was one of the more prolific Executive Briefing Center speakers, and was regularly recognized for his presentation skills. During that time, he also obtained a graduate certificate in software Systems from Stanford University.

 

After Microsoft, he joined Dell as the Director for Software Strategy in the Office of the CTO – Enterprise, where he managed a multi-billion dollar software portfolio as well as a team of highly skilled software engineers. With the merger with EMC, Byron was instrumental in driving the combined Dell EMC enterprise software strategy.

 

When his mother Laura passed away in 2017, Byron took the opportunity to take an exit package from Dell EMC and joined his brother Michael at OGC to continue, and expand, their family legacy.
